TRAVEL back in time to 1947 as Herts and Essex Community Farm celebrate the 70th birthday of Harlow New Town.
Grab your ration books, adjust your victory rolls, and head down to Foldcroft for a truly scrumptious Afternoon Tea 1940s style.
Expect all your favourites from cucumber sandwiches to scones and clotted cream, all served with lashings of English tea.
There will be 1940s themed live entertainment and a walk in photo gallery of Harlow through the ages.
Organiser and Farm Volunteer Scarlet Hellard said, “We can’t wait to welcome visitors to take a step back to the 1940s in the beautiful surroundings of the community farm.”
“We hope to give them a taste of the optimism and community spirit of life in Post War England the year Harlow Town was born.”
Tickets are on sale now at £7 for adults and £4 for concessions, including children, students and seniors.
Ticket price includes unlimited tea and coffee and a traditional English Afternoon Tea.
