ON Good Friday Dolphin Ward at Princess Alexandra had some lovely visitors bearing gifts for those unfortunate enough to be in hospital over the Easter period.
Firstly, they had a visit from Parsloe Athletic Under 14’s who decided this year they would donate their own Easter Eggs to the children.
Manager Richard Levy said ” The boys were more than happy to donate their eggs this year to Dolphin Ward, it’s now something they would like to do every year.”
Another visit was from staff from Toby Carvery in Harlow who have been doing an egg collection with the customers and came with over 100 Easter Eggs which were given to Dolphin Ward and also to Children’s A&E department, Jason Crossfield, Manager said ” We have chosen Princess Alexandra Hospital as our charity of the year this year and what a great way to start by having an Easter Egg collection. We will also be hosting quizzes each week to raise money for the Charity too.”
Staff on the ward and the A&E department would like to pass on their thanks for the generous donations to the children and were happy to see beaming smiles on the faces who got some lovely chocolate eggs this weekend.
