Statement from ambulance service: “We received a call yesterday just after 5pm to reports of a multivehicle RTC on the M11. We dispatched four ambulances, a rapid response vehicle, and an ambulance officer to assist. At the scene three patient were assessed, two women believed to be in their 30s and a man believed to be in his 60s. All were treated for neck injuries and taken to Whipps Cross Hospital for further care.
On arrival firefighters reported that the collision involved three cars and one HGV and that two people were trapped.
Firefighters worked to release the casualties from their vehicles by just after 7pm.
The casualties were left in the care of the Ambulance Service.
Crews are currently attending a road traffic collision on the M11, southbound between junction 7 – junction 6.
This is an ongoing incident and more information will be posted when it is available.
M11 is shut between Harlow and M25 due to multi-vehicle collision.
