HARLOW MP, Robert Halfon has gone onto Channel 4 to defend beleaguered prime minister, Theresa May.
It has been a difficult week for the PM. Her key speech at conference was dogged by incidents.
On Friday, former chairman of the party, Grant Shapps MP, claimed he had thirty signatures from colleagues looking for Mrs May to stand down.
But Mr Halfon told Channel 4 that “This knucklehead behaviour makes our party weaker.
“Jeremy Corbyn is not far from Downing Street. Mrs May has as long as she wants”
Mr Halfon wanted the party to move forward, develop a radical strategy and stop the in-fighting as well as looking inward and obsessing with Jeremy Corbyn.
