Bush Fair set to Light Up for Christmas!
BUSH Fair Neighbourhood Shopping Centre is getting ready for a festive transformation with the arrival of a Christmas Tree early next week. Waterhouse Moor Residents Association have generously donated the tree from Blue Diamond Garden Centre as part of their commitment to their local community and their Chairman, Steve Richardson will be turning on the lights at 6.45pm on Thursday 7th December.
Mehmet Cakmak, owner of Café Pizzeria and Chairman of Bush Fair Traders Association said “We are very grateful to Waterhouse Moor Residents Association for their generous support and we know this will add a real festive feel to the shopping centre. It’s wonderful that the community is working in partnership in this way and we hope that the people of Harlow come and join in our special Christmas afternoon and evening next week”.
The turning on of the Christmas Tree lights is just one part of the treats in store for shoppers and visitors to Bush Fair on Thursday 7th December, with many shops staying open late – including the butchers, the bakers and of course Mr Savers!! There will something for everyone and for all ages – music from DJ Darren from 3pm, Santa’s Grotto in the Quick Stop Baby Shop, food shops offering free tasters, Health and Wellbeing advice from West Essex MIND, fundraising activities from St Elisabeth’s, live music from Passmores Pop Choir at 7pm and an Open Mic Session in Café Pizzeria from 8pm.
As with the Bush Fair Fayre in the Summer, this event has been supported by Cllr Ian Beckett, Cllr Mark Ingall and Labour Organiser Eugenie Harvey. Eugenie said “Bush Fair Traders Association are going from strength to strength and were keen to build on the success of the summer fayre. This event is on a smaller scale but should be just as exciting, once again highlighting Bush Fair as a vibrant place to live, work and shop in Harlow – all year round!”
