Coca Cola Truck Comes To Harlow
By George Docking
ONCE a year the Coca Cola truck makes a visit to Harlow on it’s route up and down the country. Last year, in Harlow the arrival of the truck brought in 5000 people.
The event is a family centred, interactive experience, with a chance to sample free drinks, have pictures taken with a backdrop of the truck, sing alongs, there is a projector with animations of Santa’s workshop. People can also upload selfies on to the side of the truck with a message available to send to family or friends.
The Coca Cola team is made up of four brand ambassadors and seven local ambassadors.
Organiser, Livieu Jipescu expressed the importance recycling plays in this years event. They said: Recycling is a big part, 80% of the rubbish will be recycled, all of the the used coke cans will be back on the shelves within 6 weeks.’
This year’s return of the truck has seen a fantastic turn out, with many young people making the journey down after school with their families, wrapping up warm in the winter air and getting into the festive spirit.
