A LEADING Ukip councillor has stated his intention to defend his seat in the local elections in May.
Bush Fair councillor, Dan Long won the seat in 2014 and despite Ukip’s vote collapsing in Harlow and across the country, he appears to be determined to defend his seat.
Cllr Long said: “This is a message to the residents of Bush Fair and Harlow, in general.
UKIP Harlow is putting candidates up for this year’s local elections and one of them is me.
I will be contesting my seat here in Bush fair
The ukip Harlow team are and always will be the party of the number one priority and that is the people of Harlow.
I, along with my colleagues has been proud to represent the residents of Bush Fair and Harlow.
I have always been very grateful for the respect, faith and support that I have received from the residents of Bush Fair and Harlow.
One thing the people of Bush Fair is guaranteed, when comes to needing councillors to be the voice for them, myself alongside my colleagues, has been will be the voice for them in the future when comes to putting the people opinions forward in the council chamber and say what the people want said and exactly how it should be said without any hesitation or red tape holding us back.
As a local councillor, I am always out and about in the amongst the Bush Fair community listening to peoples’ worries and concerns that they may have with Harlow Council, making sure people are in safe hands and building a clean and safe community.
This town, along with the rest of the country, is in debt thanks to the two main parties of this country, so I have never and will never claim expenses because I don’t believe in draining our country more, financially.
