POLICE officers investigating the death of a man in his 20s on the M11 on Friday are making a renewed appeal for witnesses.
An Essex Police spokesperson said: “We were contacted at 8.15pm on Friday, March 2, with reports a grey BMW 318 Sport had lost control, spun and collided with the central barrier of the motorway, southbound at junction seven.
“Two people who were in the vehicle then made their way across the carriageway. Sadly a man we can provisionally name as 22-year-old Reece Gnazalo from Bexleyheath in Kent, was struck by another vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene just before 9.15pm.
His family has released the following in tribute to him: “Reece Gnazalo was our beloved son whom was loved by all that met him. His beautiful smile and fantastic sense of humour will warm our hearts forever.
“Reece was the kindest person you would ever hope to meet. This news of his death is shocking to everyone that knows him. He will be greatly missed by all. Rest on Reece.”
Specialist officers are investigating the manner of driving of the BMW prior to the collision and are asking anyone who saw it driving along the M11 that evening or who witnessed either collision to speak to them.
