Athletics: Impressive three complete Milton Keynes 20

Harlow Running Club member Sharon Wright completed the exhausting Milton Keynes 20 Mile race in 127th place out of 939 finishers in an excellent 2hrs 26min 24sec. She was followed by Adrian Fell 141st in 2.27.49 and Martyn Coulter 149th in 2.29.34, a personal best time for the distance.

Meanwhile at the Harpenden Half Marathon Holly Nairn finished in 156th place out of 313 finishers in 2.02.16.

At the Monster Duathlon at Ely, a 5k run followed by a 25k bike ride then another 5k run, Michael Robey finished in 42nd place out of 94 finishers in 1.40.19.

At Harlow parkrun Alan Broughton finished in 3rd place out of 145 finishers in 19.51. He was followed home by Martin Westley 4th in 20.39, John Bull 12th in 22.54, Spencer Brooks 24th in 24.13, Graham Saville 29th in 24.56, Andy Smith 31st in 25.04, Paul Dixon 33rd in 25.10, Kerry Mavris 36th in 25.18, Jim Bates 39th in 25.29, Alan Cootes 43rd in 26.20, Laura Prime 53rd in 27.18, Louise cootes 56th in 27.50, Austin Nyamande 79th in 30.36, Teresa Stickland 88th in 31.41, Liz Roberts 92nd in 32.27 and Debbie Barry 93rd in 32.35.

At the Gunpowder parkrun at Waltham Abbey Rob Lowe finished in 2nd place out of 220 finishers in 17.14 and Darren Rautenbach was 34th in 23.39.

At Mersea Island parkrun Paula Reynolds finished in 8th place out of 62 finishers in 22.30.

At Hackney Marshes parkrun Paul Schroder finished in 74th place out of 260 finishers in 22.48.

At Bishop’s Stortford parkrun Justin Patten finished in 69th place out of 228 finishers in 26.33.

At Dartford parkrun Alan Wellbelove finished in 88th place out of 183 finishers in 29.11.

At Thetford parkrun Sara Coombes finished in 157th place out of 168 finishers in 47.10.
