The UK’s first addiction and well-being retreat is launching in Harlow

CARBON Retreat, a revolutionary new health and wellbeing retreat, will launch its first residential centre in a stunning location in Old Harlow, Essex this October aiming to help anyone with an addiction or anyone looking to lead a healthier lifestyle.

Carbon Retreat follows a unique programme that helps guests to overcome any type of addiction, whether that be compulsive shopping, social media, sugar, caffeine, alcohol, orrecreational or prescription drugs. The venue offers an opportunity for anyone wishing to lead a healthier lifestyle to learn how to kick their addictions and bad habits in just one weekend.

Claire Taylor and Andrea Whiteside formed Carbon Retreat whilst working with Addiction Expert, Chris Hill, to overcome their own addictions which included compulsive shopping disorder and alcoholism. Through Carbon Retreat͛s weekend workshops, Chris Hill teaches guests the process of re-programming their mind, and takes them through the stages that equips them with the tools needed to overcome their addictions or bad habits.

From an early age, the subconscious mind is trained to form habits, Chris͛ unique programme tackles this; teaching guests to ͚self-talk͛and to re-train their mind over the course of one weekend. Following the weekend programme, guests are then equipped with the tools to continue the programme for a further 10 days, after which, the habit is completely broken. Claire explained: ͞What we͛re offering at Carbon Retreat is a truly unique opportunity for people to give up the unhealthy aspects of their life over the course of a weekend.͟The truly home-from-home retreat features a bespoke garden area for guests to meditate as well as a state-of-the-art kitchen where nutritious and delicious meals will be prepared.

Alongside the addiction programmes, guests can have private consultations with a nutritionist helping them lead an all-round healthier lifestyle when they head home. The residence also offers a variety of fitness activities including Yoga, Pilates, Personal Training, Cycling and countryside walks.

Guests are encouraged to take part in the activities leaving them feeling refreshed and ready to return to their lives with a new, healthier mindset. At the end of the day, guests can wind down in the Carbon Spa which offers hair and beauty treatments as well as more advanced treatments.

Relaxation continues on into the guest rooms as all of Carbon͛s rooms are comforting, welcoming and homely, offering guests a safe, supportive and relaxing environment away from home.

The first residential weekend workshop will take place on Friday 26th October through to Sunday 28th October and guests can book via the company website www.carbonretreat.com.
