Man arrested for drug-driving after pedestrian knocked down near The Stow


Statement from Essex Police

We were called at 6.40pm on Saturday 9 February with reports of a collision involving a pedestrian and a Volkswagen Tiguan in Orchard Croft, Harlow.

The pedestrian, a 70-year-old man, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The driver, a 38-year-old man from Harlow, was arrested on suspicion of drug-driving.

He was released under investigation while our enquiries continue.

1930 hrs

A NUMBER of emergency service vehicles are in attendance at The Stow.

Police, ambulance and air ambulance land vehicle are at Orchard Croft close to the Essex Skipper pub.

A white vehicle is stationary at the scene.
