HARLOW Running Club held their presentation evening at the weekend where trophies were awarded for members performances during the previous year.

The Club Championship Awards are for performances held throughout the calendar year, over a total of 20 specified races of various distances and terrain, with a runner’s best 10
performances counting towards the final positions.
Performances are based on age graded WAVA (World Association of Veteran Athletes) calculations, theoretically putting all age groups on an equal footing. The Championship is also used to decide the Club’s ten Age Category awards.

Harlow Running Club were represented at the Essex 20 Mile Championships held at Rochford by five runners. Craig Segal was first home in 59th place out of 330 finishers in an excellent 2hrs 09min 07secs. He was followed by Sharon Wright in 145th place in 2.27.09, Martyn Coulter 153rd in 2.28.08, Colin Moody 201st in 2.41.17 and Sam Carter 270th in 3.03.50.
Meanwhile at the Roding Valley Half Marathon Pasquale Pellecchia finished in 227th place out of 354 finishers in 1.57.07, Holly Davis was 256th in 2.01.33 and Paul Cadogan 292nd in 2.08.18.
At the Berkhampstead Half Marathon Sean Flynn finished in 459th place out of 1011 finishers in 1.51.27.
Further afield, at the Benidorm Half Marathon Danny McCree finished in 139th place out of 1414 finishers in 1.28.49.
Even further afield at the Vientiane International Half Marathon in Laos Andy KInney finished in 472nd place out of 690 finishers in 3.02.23.
At Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park Winter 10K Paul Schroder finished in 40th place out of 549 finishers in 41.48, Gail Nicholls was 143rd and 1st Female Vet 50 in 49.27 and Laura Prime 156th in 50.32(PB).
At the Excalibur Three – Track Wars 6 Hour Event Paul Watts completed 118 Laps for a distance of 29 Miles in a time of 6:00:46 to finish in 18th place out of 103 finishers.
At Harlow parkrun Martin Westley finished in 3rd place out of 239 finishers in 18.10. At Newcastle parkrun Owen Haigh finished in 22nd place out of 693 finishers in 18.54.
At Bishop’s Stortford parkrun Jason Haigh finished in 7th place out of 350 finishers in 19.48, Justin Patten was 66th in 24.07, Alan Cootes 68th in 24.17, Martin McColgan 142nd in 27.14, Celia Haigh 221st in 29.56 and Helen Brunton 321st in 36.59.
At the Gunpowder parkrun at Waltham Abbey Andy Ramage finished in 17th place out of 213 finishers in 21.29 and Jon Waight was 20th in 21.55.
At Hackney Marshes parkrun Darren Rautenbach finished in 137th place out of 384 finishers in 23.10, Wendy Schroder was 165th in 24.20 and Francesca Tye 323rd in 30.58.
At Felixstowe parkrun Hazel Kurz finished in 64th place out of 198 finishers in 25.54(EQ PB).
At Hoddesdon parkrun Tracy Stratford finished in 42nd place out of 128 finishers in 27.19.
At Wokingham parkrun Brenda Clayton finished in 215th place out of 439 finishers in 31.09.
At Great Yarmouth parkrun Terasa Holden finished in 334th place out of 389 finishers in 36.25.
