BARRATT Homes has welcomed the MP for Harlow, Robert Halfon to Gilden Park, its development on Gilden Way.
The homebuilder invited Robert for a tour of the development as it is beginning to take shape. Barratt Homes is building over 300 homes at the development on Gilden Way.
During his visit, Robert spent time meeting the team behind Gilden Park and discussing the new homes with Managing Director of Barratt Homes North Thames, Simon Francis.
Simon said: “Gilden Park is an incredibly important development both for Harlow and us as a business and we’re excited to see the new community take shape. It was great to have Mr Halfon MP attend the site to discuss the progress of the development as well as our commitment to Harlow.”
Robert said: “I was very pleased to see the houses built by Barratt Homes at Gilden Park. While there, I encouraged the company to employ construction apprentices that will provide a ladder of opportunity for people across Harlow and the villages.
“Supporting the local infrastructure is also very important. I asked the company to ensure that local services will be supported as well as building good relations with the Gibberd Garden nearby.”
Gilden Park will form an important new community in Old Harlow, delivering over 1,000 much-needed homes to the area alongside new community facilities and open space.
