Mark Hall Academy Tread the Boards One Last Time

THE theatre at Mark Hall Academy vibrated on July 4th and 5th with enthusiasm and pride as parents, friends and community members were entertained by the musical ‘Little Shop of Horrors.’

This performance was even more poignant as it was the last school production to be performed in the original Mark Hall building, as the school is moving into their new building in October.
Mark Hall Academy is the oldest school in Harlow and has been in operation for 65 years. How many performances have graced the stage? Which one was the best? From watching the most recent performance, ‘Little Shop,’ is definitely in the running with live music accompaniment, singing, dancing and acting.

The charming performance of ‘Seymour Krelborn’ ‘by year 10 student Zac Martin is worthy of note as he brought an abundance of energy, humour and originality to the role.

Many of the audience said afterwards that they would ‘have paid more to watch such a performance’ and that it was ‘the best school production that they had ever seen’.

If you missed the production of ‘Little Shop of Horrors’ be sure to remember to watch out for the next Mark Hall Academy production. You will be glad you did!
