Harlow arrests at V-Festival

A 28-year-old unemployed Harlow man will be appearing at Chelmsford Magistrates Court today (Monday August 19) charged with possession of cocaine and cannabis. Rafique Miah, who did not give an address, was arrested at the V-Festival in Hylands Park at just before 5pm on Sunday August 18.

Renewed appeal over Church Langley indecent assaults as three more attacks reported

POLICE are renewing their appeal for information following a series of indecent assaults against young women in Harlow. Two sexual assaults on Kiln Lane in the Church Langley area of the town were originally reported to police, with the first happening at 12:30pm on Monday, July 15 and the second a few hours later at 8:30pm. On both occasions, the women, aged 18 and 23 respectively, had a young man run up behind them and touch their breasts.

Harlow man sought in connection with Basildon nightclub rape

POLICE investigating an allegation of rape against a woman in a Basildon nightclub are looking to speak to two women helped her as well as man possible from Harlow.

The 18-year-old woman has reported she was sexually assaulted in a seating area behind the DJ stand between 1-2am on Sunday, June 30 inside Liquid, at the Festival Leisure Park.

Teen arrested over Church Langley indecent assault

A 16-year-old boy from Harlow has been arrested in connection with two sexual assaults in Kiln Lane, Harlow. The boy was arrested in Harlow at 7.50pm last night, Wednesday, July 17, on suspicion of sexual assault by touching in connection with the incidents on Monday, July 15. He remains in custody this morning, Thursday.

Two women indecently assaulted in Church Langley

POLICE are looking to identify a man who indecently assaulted two young women in Harlow in the space of a few hours. Both sexual assaults took place on Kiln Lane in the Church Langley area of the town on Monday, July 15, with the first happening at 12:30pm. A man ran up behind an 18-year-old woman and touched her breast before running off again.

Jocelyn’s death: No longer suspicious

FOLLOWING a post-mortem examination on the body of a woman found at an address in Harlow officers have ruled the death is no longer suspicious. A 25-year-old woman was found dead at a property in Jocelyns just after 1pm on Sunday, July 14.

Appeal after robbery in Rundells

POLICE are appealing for information following a burglary in Harlow during which fishing equipment was stolen. A window to a property in Rundells, Harlow, was smashed at around 2am on July 9, and fishing equipment worth a four-figure sum was stolen.

Old Harlow: Women robbed in her home at gunpoint

DETECTIVES are appealing for information following a burglary in Harlow in which four men burst into a house and threatened a woman with a firearm. The break-in happened between 10-11pm on Monday, July 8 when four men entered the property on Old Road and pushed a handgun to her face, before stealing cash and jewellery.

Bush Fair assault: Police may arrest “witnesses”

Investigating Officer, Dc Ryan Burgess, said: “We have now looked through the CCTV evidence which clearly illustrates the extent of this quite violent attack. There were six young men and one woman in this crowd, but only three of the boys actually took part in the physical assault. The remain three boys, of whom was on a bicycle, and the woman were bystanders. Given that that is good-quality CCTV, I’m now looking for those bystanders to contact us as witnesses otherwise we will have to go to their homes and arrest them.”

E-fit of teen who threatened dog walker with a knife

A 67-year-old man was walking his dog on Tendring Road just before 10.30am on Thursday, June 27, 2013 when two men on bikes told him to get out of the way before pulling out a knife.The man with the knife is described as white, aged in his late teens and approximately 5ft 7ins tall with brown hair that is slightly curly.

Essex Police get tough on Harlow drink drivers

A TOTAL of 94 drivers were found to be over the limit during Essex Police’s 2013 Summer Anti-Drink Drive campaign. This year’s campaign ran between June and June 30, 2013 and saw officers out in force across the county taking a zero tolerance approach to those who put lives at risk by choosing to drink and drive.
