Inquest date set for much loved Harlow women

AN INQUEST will be held next week in relation to the death of a much-loved Harlow women. Karen Joy died at home in February 2012 aged just 36.
Karen was well known at Harlow Athletics Club. Last year, a special memorial cup was presented in memory of Karen Joy who was a very keen athlete for Harlow Athletic Club and was the top lady winner of the 2011 Harlow Sports Hall Athletics Challenge.
The Memorial Cup was presented to Charmain Thorpe (for 1st placed overall female) by Karen’s family and friends, a speech from Karen’s Mum who said that Karen found something that she was good at and they were really proud of her and her achievements and she is so sadly missed by all who knew her.
The family also presented a cheque to All Ability Sports & Leisure for £825 for the club to purchase a new sports wheelchair, which was a wonderful and lovely donation given and really appreciated by the club.
The inquest will be held at New Bridge House, Chelmsford on July 18th.
