A FORMER Harlow GP has been killed after colliding with a lorry whilst cycling to his surgery in north London.

Dr Clive Richards, 67, worked at the Lister Medical Centre in Staple Tye for several years.

It is understood that Dr Richards, who lived in Whetstone, was cycling to his Hornsey Rise GP group practice at Archway when he was involved in the accident last Monday morning (Aug 5th).

He was pronounced dead at the scene following attempts by passers-by and paramedics to revive him.

A post-mortem examination carried out on Wednesday proved inconclusive and further tests are to be carried out.

An inquest into his death was opened and adjourned at Barnet Coroner’s Court today.
