THE AUTHOR behind the best selling books turned Hollywood films, “How to Train Your Dragon” Cressida Cowell is coming to Harlow. Cowell will be meeting young fans, signing books and talking about her multi-million selling books at Harlow Playhouse on Sunday October 6th at 14:00pm. The Just Imagine team will be at the event selling books at a special event price and the author will be happy to sign books and meet fans.
The event is part of a series events organised by Essex based Just Imagine, which works with children, families, schools and authors to promote reading and creativity.
Just Imagine Director, Nikki Gamble, says, ‘Many youngsters in the area will be studying these books at school and this is a great opportunity to meet the author and find out more about the inspiration behind these much loved stories.’
The visit will be among the first after the eleventh and penultimate book in the internationally acclaimed series is published on 26 September 2013. The books have inspired a Dreamworks Animation movie franchise of the same name and following the hugely successful 2010 film a second movie is due for release in summer 2014.
Over two-and-a-half million books have been sold in the UK alone and have been translated into 38 languages worldwide.
Tickets are £7.50 from Harlow Playhouse box office, 01279 431945. The event is recommended for children ages 7 and up.
