THERE ARE fears for the future of the Maples respite centre after an announcement by Essex County Council that its future is subject to a consultation.
Essex County councillor, cllr Dick Madden has assured politicians that The Maples respite centre won’t close until alternative services that meet the families’ needs are in place.
Robert Halfon said: “Whatever the provision, The Maples is incredibly important and parents and children will suffer if it closes. I will do everything I can to avoid the centre’s closure”.
