U3A is a self-help learning organisation for the active retired. U3A offers enhancing and life changing opportunities to those who are retired and semi-retired in Harlow.
It gives the opportunity to come and learn together, not for qualifications but for its own reward: the sheer joy of discovery! Harlow U3A was formed in January 2008 and now has around 800 members all over 50 years old.
Susan McClymont, Chairwomen of U3A, said:
“U3A had a fabulous morning, where over 200 people gathered together to enjoy Christmas variety show in Harlow. Getting involved in U3A is a great way to make new friends.”
Suzy Stride, Labour’s Parliamentary Candidate for Harlow, said:
“Fantastic work is done by Harlow U3A, to bring together people and engage those who are retired in exciting activities from South End trips to fascinating speakers. U3A serves Harlow and it was great to see the work they do. ”
