Fears as river levels rise in Harlow

News / Sun 2nd Feb 2014 at 11:10am

THE ENVIRONMENT Agency has lifted a flood warning for the River Stort area in Harlow.

However, as the attached photo shows the Burnt Mill Lane that runs by the Moorhen pub is virtually impassable.

The photograph was taken by Gilston resident Dominic Emery who told YH: “This is the road I take to get to Harlow railway station most mornings.

“This is the worst I have ever seen it.”

There are a number of “large puddles” across the town.

It has left the Sunday football programme once again devastated.
