Harlow Town 3 v 4 Heybridge Swifts

THERE is a definite feeling that although Harlow Town are having a very good season, the minute they are examined at the very highest level, then they are found wanting.

This game was a classic example as they went down to a very well disciplined Heybridge Swifts, who no doubt will be there or there abouts at the end of the season.

Harlow took the lead in the eighth minute through Darren Blewitt but Reece Morgan pegged them back.

Joe O’Donoghue then re-took the lead for Harlow in the 21st minute after a goalmouth scramble. Heybridge pegged Harlow back just before half time. The second half was all Heybridge as they went 3-2 and then 4-2 up with goals including what seemed a harsh penalty decision.

Stanley Muguo pulled a consolation goal back but it left Harlow rueing many of their lost chances.

Many were also severely critical of the referee George Sprague who booked seven Harlow player and one Heybridge Swifts player.
