Council provide shelter for family left homeless by fire

HARLOW Council has acted quickly to house a mother and her child after they were left homeless following a fire in Churchfield.

Cabinet Portfolio Holder for Housing and Deputy Leader of the Council, cllr Rod Truan, said: “Following the fire at this Council property we are providing the family affected with short-term temporary accommodation while the damage is assessed and an alternative suitable home becomes available.

“We will continue to keep the family updated on the situation and provide them with help and support where we can.”
