HARLOW Running Club had a good turnout at the St. Clare Hospice 10K, with 25 runners helping to raise much need funds for the hospice.

First HRC member to finish was Rob Lowe in 8th place out of 409 finishers and 3rd Vet 40 in an excellent 37min 57 sec. He was followed home by Alan Broughton 12th in 38min 50sec, Steve Mackenzie 24th in 40min 15sec and Jamie Luck 44th in 44min 48sec. Paul Schroder finished in 114th place in a personal best time for the distance in 49min 14sec. First HRC lady was Sharon Wright 75th in a superb 46min 19sec followed by Janice Page 113th in 49min 13sec.

At the Gunpowder Parkrun 5K at Waltham Abbey Jamie Jephcott finished
in 1st place out of 101 finishers in an excellent 18min 25sec. Daniel
Jephcott was 3rd, 1st U20 and created a new HRC U20 record in a superb
PB time of 19min 31sec. Sean Flynn 13th finished in a PB equalling
21min 21sec. Also running were Robin Lozeau 25th in 23min 01sec and
Paul Schroder 32nd in 23min 35sec.

At the Colchester Half Marathon Jason Haigh finished in 123rd place
out of 1726 finishers in 1hr 34min 42sec and Celia Haigh 900th in 2hrs
01min 13sec.

At the Crystal Palace 10K Mark Hayward finished in 92nd place out of
685 finishers in 47min 14sec.

At the Running for Tomorrow Half Marathon in Brixworth
Northamptonshire Andy Kinney, suffering from a heavy cold, struggled
to 50th and last place in 2hrs 28min 20sec.
