The Wizard of Oz
Harlow Playhouse
Monday 7th to Sunday 13th April 2014
Tickets £13 to £17
WITH schools breaking this Friday, parents’ minds are turning to what to do for the Easter fortnight. Harlow Playhouse is getting ready too, where rehearsals are in full swing for its whirlwind of an Easter pantomime, The Wizard of Oz, which opens on Monday and runs until Sunday.
With a very funny script, numerous chart-topping hits and lots of surprises along the way, the show is designed for the whole family. The show also features Tom Swift, returning to the Playhouse after his hugely popular roles in Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast and Peter Pan.
Playhouse Director Scott Ramsay said “The show is looking wonderful, bright and fun. We’re also delighted to introduce some surprises with the Munchkins and Toto the dog, who has just arrived from Canada. The show runs at the Playhouse for the first week of the Easter Holidays, then tours to Kent, so we hope people will plan ahead and not miss out before it leaves Harlow.”
Co-producer and star Tom Swift said “We can’t wait to get back on the wonderful Playhouse stage, in front of a Harlow crowd. It looks set to become the Easter highlight for many families.”
The Wizard of Oz plays at Harlow Playhouse from Monday 7th to Sunday 13th April (tickets range from £13 to £17), then tours to Tunbridge Wells Victoria Hall from Wednesday 16th to Monday 21st April.
