Four in court after mass brawl in Bishopsfield

POLICE have charged a number of people with offences following an investigation into an incident of violent disorder which occurred in Bishopsfield, in Harlow, in the early hours of Saturday January 18.

A total of 12 members of the public had contacted police to report their concerns about a fight in the road, damage to cars, and disorder. Following a detailed investigation by detectives into the incident three search warrants were executed in Harlow and one in Bournemouth on Thursday April 17 and a number of suspects were arrested.

They were interviewed and following questioning several were charged. Luke Panagi, aged 23, of The Briars, in Harlow was charged with violent disorder and possession of cannabis with intent to supply. Jose Zolan-Donga, aged 25, of North Circular Road, London, was charged with violent disorder. Orlando Chinhemba, aged 26, of Hankinson Road, Bournemouth, was charged with violent disorder and attempting to pervert the course of justice. Adam Lawal, aged 23, of Carters Mead, in Harlow was charged with violent disorder.

They have all been remanded in custody to appear before Chelmsford Magistrates Court on the morning of Saturday April 19.

A 47-year-old woman from Harlow arrested on suspicion of possession of a section one firearm has been released on police bail pending further enquiries to report back on Monday June 23.
