Tiny acorns: The growth of the Harlow Independent Party

Politics / Tue 6th May 2014 am31 09:00am

AN INDEPENDENT party or residents party has worked in many council areas over the years. Havering has had a very successful one for a number of years. Now there is a Harlow Independents Party that wants to “rise above party politics” and reflect, it says, more accurately, the concerns of Harlow residents.

2014 will be their first outing and they have three candidates” Leader and founder, Joshua Jolles, Bob McKenzie and Zulqaar Cheema.

YH popped down to Great Parndon to interview cllr Jolles (he is presently an Indep councillor having left the Tories) and find out a little more about the party, about what they stand for and what they would gauge as success.
