MP Halfon “Direction is clear” after Queen’s speech

HARLOW MP, Robert Halfon was present at the Queen’s Speech in the Houses of Parliament on Wednesday.

It is the final speech before parliament is dissolved on March 30th, 2015 and the planned general election on May 7th 2015.

Mr Halfon said: “I attended the Queen’s Speech today in Parliament, and was privileged to sit in tbe Royal Gallery to watch the Royal Procession – the Queen and Prince Charles – flanked by Yeomanry Guards – come past to make their way to the Lords.

“The direction of travel is clear for the Government:

“Tax cuts for lower earners, help for families with childcare support, investment in apprenticeships, investment in housing and infrastructure and measures to continue job creation.

“As Her Majesty stated, and confirmed by the Prime Minister, the best way to help with financial security is by cutting taxes for those on lower incomes”.
