Update: M11 starting to re-open between Harlow and Stansted after glue spillage

UPDATE: 0800 hrs

M11 Jct 7-8 Northbound carriageway is open and the southbound carriageway jct 8-7, should reopen one lane soon, please check with the Highways Agency website for the latest situation.

M11 Essex – M11 closed southbound between J8, A120 (Stansted Airport) and J7, A414 (Harlow), because of an earlier overturned lorry, recovery work and a spillage of glue on the road. Diversion in operation – the official diversion (following the hollow diamond symbol) is via the A414, A10 and A120.

Update: 2230 hrs

M11 Essex – M11 closed in both directions between J7, A414 (Harlow) and J8, A120 (Stansted Airport), because of an overturned lorry and a spillage of chemicals on the road. Diversion in operation – the official diversion (following the hollow diamond symbol) is via the A414, A10 and A120.

Update: 1745 hrs

Essex Police: M11 closed both ways between J7+J8 due to overturned lorry. Blue light services attending. Avoid area. Heavy traffic congestion.

1730 hrs

M11 Essex – M11 blocked and stationary traffic northbound before J8, A120 (Stansted Airport), because of a spillage of glue on the road.
