HARLOW MP, Robert Halfon rose on the floor of the House of Commons to ask parliament for support regarding the traveller problem in Harlow.

Mr Halfon said: “Earlier today, I asked the Leader of the House – Andrew Lansley MP – if he would support my calls for local police forces to be provided with greater powers when they are evicting travellers from illegal sites.

“I know that many local residents have been concerned recently about the number of traveller sites in our town and I would like to reassure you that I have been doing everything I can to ensure this problem is resolved as quickly as possible.
