THE HARLOW public turned out in their droves to support the Upwards with Downs fun day.

Hundreds visited the day at The Link to support a truly worthwhile cause.

Spokesperson, Cristina Griffiths said: “On the day, we raised a total of £6275!! which is absolutely amazing.

“We still have some more money to collect but are hoping that the overall figure will be around £8000.

“This is an amazing amount of money for a small charity like us & will go such a long way towards helping continue supporting all the families.

“More importantly though, the day as well as about raising money was about raising awareness & gaining acceptance of people with Down Syndrome. Ulimately if we can change even one persons perspective on Down Syndrome then we have accomplished what we have set out to achieve. That is our goal!!!
