Harlow Urban Games set for Saturday

HARLOW Urban Games is back and this year is going to better than ever. The annual event will take place at the Skatepark in Harlow Town Park and has seen audiences in excess of 1,000 people in previous years. This year it will go ahead on Saturday 16 August between 11am and 4.30pm.

The event will feature a skate jam, BMX jam and scooter jam all with prizes, some being donated by M6 Footwear.

There will also be the Cycle Harlow BMX Ramps and mountain bike time trial, parkour demonstrations and workshops, a street dance workshop by Hip Hop Pop, Harlow Youth Council refreshments stall, Essex Youth Workers, Anglia Community Enterprise Health Trainers and Smoking Cessation and Harlow Council’s Education Volunteer Officer providing information on the Heritage Lottery Fund Improvements that are taking place in the town park.

There will also be music playing throughout the event and PCSOs will be on hand to offer free security marking of bikes, boards and equipment.

The event timetable is:

11 am – 4.30pm

Cycle Harlow BMX Ramps

Team Traceur – Parkour demonstration and workshops

Cycle Harlow Mountain Bike Time Trial

Information stalls

11.30 am: Scooter Jam

12.30 pm: Streetdance Workshop by Hip Hop Pop

1.30pm: BMX Jam

3pm: Skate Jam
