THE Royal British Legion helped youngsters in Roydon mark Armistice Day.
Lynne Meridale joined the whole school assembly at Roydon Primary School, in Epping Road, and led the school with the Act of Remembrance, sharing the Exhortation and the Kohmia Prayer.
Headteacher Gill Doyle said: “The children marked this special moment in history by taking part in a minute’s silence and singing “When a Knight Won His Spurs” to bring the assembly to a close.
“I want our children to grow up respectful of those who defend the world’s peace and to play their part in making the world a safer place as they grow up.”
