Boots in Harlow call police on “peaceful protestor”

Politics / Mon 2nd Feb 2015 at 05:05pm

BootsNOW here is an interesting story. On Saturday, a YH reporter was walking past Boots in the town centre, when we saw a young man being spoken to by a police officer.

It all looked very civil. We could see that the man, who is called Damien, was wearing a top, which stated” This shop doesn’t pay tax which makes your tax higher.:

So, we asked Damien to tell us a little bit more.

A spokesperson for Essex Police said: “Police were called by a staff member of Boots at Broad Walk in Harlow just before 12.30pm on Saturday, January 31 following reports that a man was causing disruption in the area.

“Police attended and spoke to the man”.

For the avoidance of doubt (and in relation to angle of photo) his t shirt is directed at Boots and not Nu Look.
