Man pleads not guilty to Staple Tye gun charges

A MAN charged with firearms offences following an incident in the Staple Tye shopping precinct in November entered pleas of not guilty when he appeared at Chelmsford Crown Court today.
Robert Somerville, 22, of 26 Charters Cross, Harlow, was granted bail on condition that he must live at his address, complies with a 9pm-2am curfew and reports to police twice a week.
Somerville is charged with possessing a firearm with intent to cause unlawful fear of violence as well as an alternative charge of possessing an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.
