Street lights to go back on in Harlow after budget victory for Labour

THE STREET lights in Harlow are set to be switched back on after Labour run Harlow Council pushed it through as part of their budget last night.
Since last year, the street lights go off from midnight until 5am.
The lights were just one of a number of measures pushed through by the leader of Harlow Council, cllr Jon Clempner and his team.
But the Harlow Conservative group did not go down without a fight and expressed their disappointment that the council tax was having to go up whereas their detailed plans would have seen a decrease in council tax.
Over the next two days, we will be focussing on a number of the issues that the Conservative group brought up as well as the Labour portfolio holders’ reaction.
A budget victory for Labour is less money in residents pockets. "The problem with socialism is eventually you run out of other people's money"
