ACTION has been taken to deal with a persistent problem of anti-social behaviour by an individual whose behaviour was adversely affecting the lives of other residents.
Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court granted a closure order on a property in Cooks Spinney, Harlow, on Monday, February 23.
Neighbourhood officer Pc Neil Armor worked with Harlow District Council to apply for the order,
which has provided immediate relief to residents.
The property has been boarded up and secured for three months, and the tenant is not allowed to remain at the address or return during the three month period.
The closure order lasts until May 23.
Chief Insp Alan Ray said: “The local neighbourhood team will continue to use any legislation available to them to send a clear message that any anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated within Harlow.
“Harlow Police will work closely with local residents and partners to deal with people that cause problems for other law abiding residents.”
