Teenager in hospital with serious head injuries after serious assault in Town Centre

DETECTIVES in Harlow are appealing for information following a serious assault that took place in Eastgate in the town.

A 17-year-old man, who lives in the local area, is currently in hospital after suffering serious head injuries.

It happened outside Lloyds Bank at around 4.30am on Friday, May 8.

Police were called to the scene following reports of a group of 20 to 30 men fighting in the street.

Ds Tina Hart, of Harlow CID, said: “The 17-year-old victim was kicked, punched and stamped on during this incident and has now been left in hospital with serious injuries as a result. I would urge anybody with any information about what happened to get in touch with me.”

Another man was also assaulted during the incident but did not require hospital treatment.
