7th Scout Group proudly re-open Manor Hall

Scout HutIT is both metaphorically and literally, the phoenix that grew from the flames.

When an arsonist burnt down the 7th Scout Hut in Nicholls Field in 2011, many told them that they would never find a home again.

But the may have underestimated the determination and character of every single member of the 7th Scouts.

On Sunday afternoon, the magnificent new building was re-opened by two of the fire officers from Green Watch.

It was Green Watch that tried in vain to save the hut that terrible night.

Harlow MP, Robert Halfon, chair of Harlow Council, cllr Ian Beckett, the architects, MD Cotton as well as family, friends and scouts gathered together to witness the opening of Manor Hall.
