Police appeal for witnesses after fire in Upper Park

POLICE are appealing for information about a suspicious fire in Upper Park, Harlow.
An old sofa and a wooden gate in a garden were set alight at about 11.30pm on Saturday, May 23.
The sofa was against the house and the flames burnt and melted the window frames nearby.
The fire is believed to have been started deliberately.
Sgt Natalie Rooney, of Harlow CID, said: “We are appealing for members of the public who saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area in the hours leading up to the fire to contact us as they may have vital information.
“We are particularly keen to speak to three teenagers who were seen playing in the street near the address at about 9.15pm that evening and might be potential witnesses.”
