A statement on East Herts CCG twitter page states: Princess Alexandra Hospital A&E is very busy. If you need medical help fast, but it’s not an emergency call 111, free, 24 hours a day.”

PAH has also asked:”Don’t forget for minor injuries and illnesses you can call NHS 111 or contact your local pharmacy for advice.
