Permit should help Harlow motorists

ANYONE living in a permit area (including non-motorists) that does not yet hold a MiPermit account and may wish to purchase visitor permits, will need to provide the NEPP with proof of residency and register on the system before purchasing any permits. These customers, as well as anyone who is unable to register their own account, such as residents without internet access should telephone the NEPP on 01206 282316 for assistance.

Once registered, the secure account allows customers to manage purchases and update details, and buy visitor permits through their MiPermit account too.

For existing resident permit holders, their permit renewal reminders will explain the new system and outline how quick and easy it is to renew online through MiPermit.

Councillor Robert Mitchell, Chairman of the North Essex Parking Partnership said “We are really pleased to be able to offer Harlow’s residents the option to buy virtual parking permits. These permits are now available in all of the Partnership authorities’ areas and allow customers to access these services at their convenience. The system is also more cost-effective for us as an organisation and therefore helps keep permit prices stable.”

Councillor Tony Durcan, Portfolio Holder for Regeneration & Enterprise at Harlow Council, commented: “This new system is great news for our residents as it will help them to get the permits they need more quickly and without having to take a trip into the Civic Centre to purchase them.

“We hope that residents find this new way of buying their permits convenient and easy to use, and offers many people who may struggle to get to the Civic Centre with the solution they need.”

The Parking Partnership also offers other permit types to assist businesses and carers with their parking requirements and would encourage these to contact the NEPP directly to discuss their options.
