EuropeHARLOW businesses are being offered a helping hand to access £380 million of European funding.

A guide to help businesses apply for European funding has been produced by Essex County Council.

The Council’s Funding and Investment (FIT) team have put the guide together to make it easier for businesses to find out how they can apply for funding from the European Commission.

Essex County Council’s Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Economic Growth, Cllr Kevin Bentley, said: “Gaining access to European funding can often be seen as a daunting challenge and this is why many of our businesses in Essex are missing out on great funding and development opportunities.

“We want to give businesses the tools and knowledge to get a piece of the £380 million of European funding that is available until 2020.

“Our team can advise businesses on project ideas and help search for funding and connect them with UK agencies that manage the different EU programmes.

“This guidance is free and could lead to some fantastic opportunities so I would encourage businesses to get in touch with us to find out more.”

Contact the Funding and Investment Team via email at [email protected] to be sent a digital copy of the guide or call 03330 138 968.
