PERSIMMON Homes is holding an exhibition and consulting on detailed plans for a new residential neighbourhood as part of the planned development at the popular and award winning Newhall Development in Harlow.
The site is located to the north of Milestone Road and east of London Road. Persimmon Homes are holding an exhibition and consulting on proposed to create a neighbourhood of up to 399 new homes built around parkland of retained oak trees. The homes have been designed by Hawkins and Brown
Architects to be distinctive, afford a high quality living environment and complement the wider neighbourhood. The proposals include a range of 2, 3 and 4 bedroom houses and 1 and 2 bedroom apartments, a proportion of which will be affordable.
The proposals relate to the third tranche of a development granted outline planning permission in 2012. The outline planning permission established the principle of development and agreed a Masterplan for the wider Phase 2 development at Newhall, to which these proposals form part. The agreed Phase 2 development will deliver new homes, a new primary school, open space, shops, a second neighbourhood centre and associated road infrastructure.
Plumb Associates Ltd has been appointed by Persimmon Homes to undertake community consultation activities and are seeking feedback on the latest phase of the development. Further information on the proposal will be available to view at a public consultation event or via the project Facebook page.
The plans and a ‘Fly through computer model’ will demonstrate what is proposed for this phase and will be available to view at a public consultation event on Tuesday October 20th between 3 and 8pm at the Newhall Project Office (located at The Farm Offices, The Chase, Newhall CM17 9LU). Representatives from the project team will be available to answer queries about the scheme.
