Big Band Christmas show

CHRISTMAS is making an early appearance at the Harlow Playhouse with the arrival of The Big Band Christmas Show.

On 18th November, the unique Five Star Big Band Show, as seen at London’s Leicester Square Theatre and BBC’s Children in Need, will be bringing the Christmas spirit to Harlow.

A compilation of classic Christmas songs and some more recent favourites will be getting the audience in the festive mood, with renditions of Sinatra, Glenn Miller and Nat King Cole transporting the audience back to the magical movies of the 1950’s and 60’s.

Join Simone (Ivy Benson Orchestra), Chris Smith Jnr (composer/arranger for the BBC Radio Big Band) and Tony Bennett’s trombonist, as they help jazz up those Jingle Bells!

BBC’s Sheila Tracy has called The Big Band Christmas Show ‘superb- they swing like crazy’ whilst The Telegraph has named it ‘swing and song of the highest order.’

The show will begin at 2pm and will be held in the main auditorium.
