HANNAH Ellen Clare, a founding member of the recently launched Harlow Green Party, has been elected as Co-Chair of the Young Greens, the party’s youth and student wing [1].

Hannah, who currently serves as Harlow Green Party’s secretary, was elected this weekend after an online vote, and was announced as the new Co-Chair at the youth wing’s national convention.

A former member of UK Youth Parliament for the town, Hannah will now represent the views of over 20,000 young members in the party and sit on the party’s national executive.

Hannah’s election follows her performance in the Channel 4 /Shoutout UK Youth Leader’s Debate during the general election campaign [2], and she was elected on pledges to better support local Young Greens groups and expand the training provided by the national Young Greens.

Hannah said: “I’m thrilled to have been elected alongside my co-chair Sophie Van Der Ham, at such an exciting time for the party.

“The membership of the Young Greens alone is now higher than the membership of the entire Green Party was when I joined three years ago, and I can’t wait to ensure that the party is full of passionate and well-trained activists who can become the Green candidates and MPs of the future.”
