Interested in shaping the way Harlow is policed?

ARE you interested in shaping the way policing is delivered in Harlow? Essex Police is inviting Harlow residents’ to join them for a special meeting on Tuesday 23 February at Harlow College, Velizy Avenue at 7pm.

The meeting, chaired by the Harlow Independent Advisory Group, will give residents an opportunity to have their say and help Essex Police provide a fair and non-discriminatory police service to all communities in Harlow.

The aim is to better help the force understand how its processes and policies can affect the many diverse communities in Harlow.

The key roles of the Independent Advisory Group are to:

• build communities’ trust and confidence

• promote community cohesion

• act as critical friends

• promote the reporting and prevention of hate crime

The agenda includes:

• Introduction to the group

• an overview of the group’s activities and aims

• presentation by Ajaib Hussain

• question and answer session with the panel
