THE LEADER of Harlow Council has sent his condolences to the family of the little girl who died in Harlow Town Park on Saturday afternoon.
Councillor Jon Clempner, Leader of Harlow Council, said: “Harlow is a town in shock following this tragic incident yesterday (26 March 2016). I can’t imagine the heartache of the parents and family of the little girl who has died, and my thoughts are with them.
The Police will be conducting a thorough investigation, in conjunction with the Health and Safety Executive (HSE). The Council will work closely with them, and the Great Parndon Community Association (GPCA) who organised the fair, to help understand the circumstances leading up to this tragic event.”
Whilst investigations are taking place it would be inappropriate for the Council to comment any further at this stage.
