Athletics: Terrell rocks Brighton

THREE Harlow Running Club members journeyed down to the south coast to compete
in the Brighton Marathon and all came away with a personal best time for the
distance (PB). Andy Terrell was 398th out of 10,603 finishers in an excellent
3hrs 15min 58sec, a PB by over 8 minutes, Ben Usher was 1533rd in 3.43.38 and
Andy Ramage 2742nd in 4.01.05.

Meanwhile at the Plymouth Half Marathon Hannah Cox also achieved a PB time
finishing in 2328th place out of 4720 finishers in 2hrs 03min 50sec.

At the Belgrade Half Marathon Andy Kinney was 2967th out of 3123 finishers in
2hrs 47min 05sec.

At the Fowlmead 50 Mile race in South East Kent Will Wall finished in 10th place
out of 41 finishers in an exhausting 8hrs 56min 55sec, this after completing a
marathon on each of the previous two weekends.

At the Braintree 5 Mile race John Bull finished in 59th place out of 494
finishers in 34min 39sec. He was followed home by Sharon Wright (61st in 34.45
PB), Alan Wellbelove (104th in 38.11), Robin Lozeau (115th in 39.07), Jeff Mace
(241st in 46.58) and Alison Bull (246th in 47.27).

At the Harlow Parkrun 5K Rob Lowe was victorious in 1st place out of 113
finishers in a fantastic 18min 45sec. He was followed by Spencer Brooks (12th in
23.47), Alan Cootes (16th and 1st Vet 60 in 24.19), Paul Dixon (18th in 24.32),
Craig Clarke (19th in 24.37 PB), Alan Wellbelove (21st in 24.55), Robin Lozeau
(26th and 2nd Vet 60 in 25.24), Debbie Barry (28th and 1st Female Vet 55 in
25.36), Martyn Coulter (30th in 25.38), Andy Smith (47th in 29.42 PB), Pushpa
Mistry (52nd in 30.46) and Steve Crosby (93rd in 36.32 debut).

At the Gunpowder Parkrun 5K at Waltham Abbey Paul Schroder finished in 28th
place out of 147 finishers in a PB time of 22min 36sec, Michelle Hyde was 58th
in 25.59 and Austin Nyamande 84th in 28.51.

At the Hatfield Forest Parkrun 5K Justin Patten was 34th out of 168 finishers in
24min 25sec, Peter Mills 97th and 2nd Vet 70 in 29.51 and Joanne Mills 113th and
1st Female Vet 65 in 31.47.

At the Fell Foot Parkrun 5K at Windermere in Cumbria Daniel Jephcott finished in
8th place out of 121 finishers in a superb 20min 42sec.

At the Bury St Edmunds Parkrun 5K Gary Godfrey finished in 25th place out of 141
finishers in 23min 48sec.
