A SENIOR Labour councillor has pledged to use the full force of the law to crack down on bikers in his ward.
Cllr Ian Beckett has been contacted by residents who have witnessed bikers, without crash helmets and at high speed riding down Tumbler Road.
On Saturday afternoon, residents witnessed a large number of bikes marauding up and down the park at Nicholls Field.
Cllr Beckett said: “I would like to thank residents for bringing this to our attention. Along with Mark Ingall, we will look into this and liaise with Essex Police and Harlow Council’s anti-social behaviour team.
One resident, who did not wish to be named said: “There is going to be a serious accident here. I have seen a motor-biker carrying along a child who can be no older than four.
“This needs to be cracked down now.”
Wont hold my breath normal council response is "we will monitor it" or " it is a police issue"
